The Nickel Tour The book that started my postcard collection. Even if you're not into postcards, this is probably the best book written on Disneyland history. It's jammed full of pictures. You can follow the Park's history through the postcards and the supplemental photos. The text of the book is expertly written by two former Imagineers: Bruce Gordon and David Mumford. |

Disney A to Z This is my "go-to" book. Whenever I have a question about Disney or need to research something about the company, this is the first book I pull off the shelf. Edited by Dave Smith, chief archivist for 25 years at the Walt Disney Archives. |

Walt Disney Imagineering As I've noted before, I'm a huge fan of Imagineering. This book is jam-packed full of concept art and behind the scenes photos, starting with the early days of Disneyland through the Disney Parks around the world. Follow ride development from a simple sketch to blue prints and finally construction. |

The Art of Walt Disney Another "first" book - well, sort of. This is the second book I received (way back in 1973) that started my book collection. This book has been reprinted and updated too many times to mention. Probably one of the better books that combines great history and photos. Follow the beginning of the Disney Company starting with the birth of Walt Disney throught the present day. |

Mouse Tales I think this was the first unofficial Disney book that I purchased. David Koenig has done an excellent job in rounding up andedotes and behind the scenes stories of what it's like to work at the Happiest Place On Earth. The Golden Anniversary book also comes with a CD in which Koenig has recreated a walking tour of the Park circa 1955. |
